How can someone get more involved with MEdIES?
(a) Organisations: Confirmed partners to the initiative include governmental bodies (relevant ministries or other agencies), educational institutions (Universities, EE centres and schools), NGOs and IGOs etc. of the Mediterranean region. These comprise the MEdIES Task Group, and act as the Focal Points of MEdIES in the Mediterranean countries.
The members of the Task Group usually take actions such as:
· Translation, adaptation and re-publishing of MEdIES educational materials.
· Organization of MEdIES trainings and other national or local ESD events in their countries, in collaboration with the MEdIES secretariat.
· Dissemination and securing a wide outreach of the MEdIES endeavours to relevant audiences in their countries.
· Cooperation and provision of academic and/or scientific consultation to the Task Group in order to promote ESD.
· Supply the secretariat with interesting updates regarding ESD in their countries.
Any relevant stakeholder bearing goals and activities compatible with those of MEdIES operating at Mediterranean, national and/or local level can join the Task Group through a letter of expression of interest to the Coordinator (MIO-ECSDE).

(b) Individuals: The “heart” of this initiative is the electronic network of formal and non formal ESD educators (MEdIES e-Network).
The e-Network is informed regularly on any ESD events etc. through e-mails and posts on the web-page and they are facilitated by the secretariat in their communication with each other, to promote their work. They may make comments to the publications, lesson plans, etc. and they may also propose their own lesson plans to be uploaded on the webpage. Finally, they have priority in receiving invitations to workshops and training seminars organised by MEdIES.
Any individual may become a member of the MEdIES e-Network, free of charge, by signing up electronically.
