UNESCO - through its Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) programme - is a member of the One Planet network formed to implement SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and the 10 Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP).
As part of the portfolio of joint activities under the framework of the Sustainable Lifestyles and Education (SLE) programme, the Anatomy of Action initiative has been developed and looks at sustainability in daily life (3 easy actions in 5 daily life domains – food, stuff, move, money and fun) (www.anatomyofaction.org).
It will be physically launched on 12 September at an event jointly hosted and held at UNESCO. A digital Take Action Challenge will follow from 15 to 30 September. Each day, diverse and global influencers will post on what they do to live more sustainably based on Anatomy of Action ideas. Every 3 days, a new area will be highlighted and (at least) one influencer will start posting.
In the Challenge, influencers, partners and people can connect, engage and encourage more sustainable living – based on what we know will truly make a difference. The campaign will show that small actions, taken collectively, can really impact the planet - and anyone, anywhere can contribute.
I will soon share with you additional information, visuals, and sample actions for the Challenge.
Get involved in this challenge and share this “how-to-join” flyer widely!
