C. Completion of Rainwater Harvesting activities for 2017 with the mission to Kithira Island

This was the 9th year for MEdIES to have collaborated with the Mission Water Environmental Programme and GWP-Med* to implement the educational component of the Rainwater Harvesting Programme in Greece. The activities in 2017 took place in Athens as well as in the island of Kithira (on 11-13 December) and included -as in the previous years- activities in schools and teachers’ seminars. The experiential and discovery-based activities in the primary and early secondary schools aimed to inform and sensitize the students on the issue of water saving, particularly through the ‘revival’ of the rainwater harvesting practice and greywater recycling. This year, 1.962 students and 391 teachers participated to te project activities.Read more at http://medies.net/staticpages.asp?aID=657
